Create a User via the Network Directory

There are two ways to create a user through the network directory, depending on how the Governance Portal is configured to work with your network.

Note: Your IT system administrator is responsible for the setup and synchronization with the directory. There are settings that need to be established in the Site Settings area of the Governance Portal to use this functionality. See the Governance Portal Installation and Administration Guide for additional information regarding site settings.

Manual User Configuration: Requires you to type in the name of user's domain and network ID instead of creating a password for the user.

Via Network Directory/LDAP: Requires you to choose a network ID from the directory instead of creating a password for the user.

Note: Network users can utilize the single sign-on functionality, which allows users already logged into the network to bypass the login page and go directly to the Governance Portal home page. For more information, see the Governance Portal Installation and Administration Guide.
