Copy a User

Copying a user will allow you to copy the user and the user's associated roles and user groups. After selecting a user and copying, the details such as phone number, email account, etc. can be added.

  1. Access the User Search.
  2. Type in the users name, email address or network ID, then click Search or click Show All.

    Note: Typing in the Users name, Email address or network ID will limit results to only users containing the text entered. Click Show All to scroll through all users contained in the Governance Portal.

  3. Click the name of the desired user.
  4. Click Copy.
  5. Enter the detail information for the new user (e.g. user name, email address, and password).

    Notes:

    • If LDAP has been configured for your Portal, click icon-Select Directory User Select Directory Server User to choose a user from the directory list. See Create a User via the LDAP Directory for details.
    • If you are using mixed mode authentication, you will have the option of choosing to create a user manually by assigning a Governance Portal password or by using the individuals' network ID. See Create a User via Mixed Mode Authentication for details.
  6. Select the Copy Roles check box to duplicate the roles to the new user.
  7. Select the Copy User Groups check box to duplicate the user groups to the new user.
  8. Click Save.
